My Favorite Energising Songs (GAMMA)

Why have I appended a (gamma) to this post's name? For the same reason, that Yahoo has appended gamma to its Flickr service. I like the reasoning given by Yahoo, and the same 'continuous addition & improvement' policy shall be followed here- this post will continue to evolve as I keep adding songs to the list.

'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.'
(To imitate someone is to pay the person a genuine compliment—often an unintended compliment.)

Yahoo's reasoning can be found here

This is the post where I want to list all those songs which I find energising- meaning thereby which fill me with energy, or more precisely, cause some dumb lying fuel to get involved in the respiration process. On a lighter note, no actual energy should be transferring to my body; these songs seem to be acting only like a software catalyst- to speed up ongoing metabolism- and to stimulate flow of certain hormones (Possibly Adrenalin).

New! List of songs that I find touching is here
  1. Hans Zimmer - Mutiny (From the movie 'Crimson Tide') (One of the most inspiring and energizing songs I've ever heard. It fills me with fire and aggression in a way that few other songs can. This beautiful piece of music reminds me of four of my favorite words - Defiance, Maverick, Mutiny and Rebel)
  2. DJ Yahel - Voyage (I don't have words!)
  3. DJ Tiesto - Trance Sensation (link 1; link 2)
  4. Mylo - Drop The Pressure (such intoxicating video!)
  5. Google I-O 2009 (Day 1) Chrome Experiments Introduction Video Music (by Googler Matt Waddell) (link) (Sometimes when I listen to this song, I become serious and focused... my concentration increases and leisurely activities come to a screeching halt)
  6. Timbaland - The Way I Are
  7. Chuckie & Lmfao - Let The Bass Kick In Miami Bitch (I remember that night at DropZone - in Pretoria - when I heard this song for the first time. It was intoxicating me back then, and it continues to do so ever since...)
  8. La Bouche - Be My Lover (1995- From the album "Sweet Dreams")
  9. Westlife - If I Let You Go (1999- From the album "Westlife")
  10. Vengaboys - Boom Boom Boom Boom (1998- From the album "The Party Album")
  11. Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee) (1999- From the album "Europop")
  12. Dr Alban - It's My Life (1992- From the album "One Love")
  13. 2 Unlimited - No Limit
  14. The Corrs - Joy of Life (Thank you to 'The Corrs' for making this great song :-))
  15. Nightcrawlers - Push The Feeling On (I have sweet memories from the year 2004 attached with this song- playing audio-less DOS games on my old desktop computer with this song running in background was so nice...)
  16. O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei (This song reminds me of a credit-roll made in my college by someone from the IEEE society, & that credit-roll inspires me. I love the video of this song as well.)
  17. Yanni- Acroyali - Standing Motion (Medley)
  18. Yanni- Nostalgia (Reflections Of Passion)
  19. Yanni- Santorini (Live at the Acropolis)
  20. Aahista Aahista (Bachna Ae Haseeno) (I especially like the scene in this song where they both are taking some kind of a ride in the snow)
  21. James Blunt - You're Beautiful (This song kind of pushes me and makes me realise the presence of the elusive, and makes me want to capture it as soon as possible.)
  22. Harold Faltermeyer- Axel F (I simply love the way he keeps making you wait for a long, long time and keeps preparing the ground for the real thing- and when finally he unleashes it, it does live up to one's expectations, and it does make one feel the wait was worth it!)
  23. Cher- Believe (Just like "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" is my all time favorite english movie, this song is my all time favorite english song. I love this song a lot. I am myself surprised that I never get bored of it no matter how many times I listen to it. The fountain-like initial music has an amazing energising effect on me)
  24. Shaan- Bhool Ja
  25. Theme song of Knight Rider, the TV series I used to watch in the early 90s
  26. R. Kelly- Burn It Up (Remix) (Song with a 'punch')
  27. DJ Suketu - Pyar Zindagi Hai (Extended Mix) (From the album '440 Volts')
  28. Jaaniye - Dus Kahaniyaan (The bass near beginning of this song is simply electrifying)
  29. Heyy Babyy (Heyy Babyy) (I like its strong bass, especially when it's playing near the rides, at The Great India Place)
  30. Main Khiladi Tu Anari (Main Khiladi Tu Anari) (I especially like the video of this song; A music which comes at start of this song, and then once again, is quite energising)
  31. Pieces (Sum 41)
  32. Lady (Hear Me Tonight) (Modjo - 2000)
  33. Boulevard Of Broken Dreams (Green Day)
  34. Aaja Nachle (Bally Sagoo)
  35. Britney Spears - Gimme More (The song gives me a pleasurable ecstatic / intoxicating feeling)
I love instrumentals (both listening to them, and playing them on my Yamaha PSR-330 electronic keyboard cum synthesizer)

Music genres I like when I'm in an energetic mood (A very partial list)
  1. Electronic
  2. Eurodance
  3. Psychedelic trance
  4. Techno
  5. Trance
